Naregatsi Art Institute hosted the meeting with the RA Honored Artist, composer Ara Gevorgyan.
After listening to the works performed by the Nova Folk Instruments Ensemble, Ara Gevorgyan said that he was filled with a great sense of pride, he also emphasized the work that the musicians of the ensemble do. He spoke about his works, talking about the process of their creation.
The event was carried out within the framework of the series launched by the Naregatsi Art Institute, during which the musicians of the Nova Folk Music Instruments Ensemble regularly have meetings with well-known and renowned musicians.
Ara Gevorgyan studied at the Armenian State Pedagogical University after Kh. Abavyan in the woodwind instruments and pop music department of the faculty of Culture.
In 2005 he founded a folk instruments orchestra consisting of 40 musicians, which later became the State Orchestra of National Instruments of Armenia.
He wrote music for various films: "Qrmuhi" (Priestess), "Khnkarkum” (Incensing), "Yar Khushta", etc.; for plays "Bari Galust" (Welcome), "Cranes, Come back", etc.; for various sports events around the world. He was elected a member of the International Informatization Academy of Canada.
