The Naregatsi Art Institute hosted a meeting with singer, musician Daniel Decker on the initiative of Helbert Asatryan, the artistic director of the Nova Folk Instrument Ensemble.

Nareg Hartounian, the founder of Naregatsi Art Institute, welcomed this initiative and thanked Daniel Decker for this unique opportunity to meet him. He emphasized the importance of this exceptional musician for being Armenian by choice and dedicating his soul to Armenia.

Singer, musician Daniel Decker emphasized in his speech that Armenia has captured his soul and he is no longer Armenian by choice, but in 2015 he became a citizen of Armenia and is fully Armenian. Decker mentioned that his connection with Armenia became stronger after the concert in Shoushi.

Helbert Asatryan, the artistic director of the Nova Folk Instrument Ensemble, expressed his gratitude for that important meeting. He informed that together with Daniel Decker, they would perform Sayat Nova's "Nazani" and Ara Gevorgyan's "Mush", the lyrics of which were written by Dekker.

Daniel Decker has been collaborating with Ara Gevorgyan. He has written the English lyrics of the song "Adana" and performed it. He also participated in concert tours in different countries of the world with Ara Gevorgyan.

The presentation of Daniel Decker's CD "I am Armenian with my Choice" was held in 2010 in the Naregatsi Art Institute. The CD included 13 songs. In 2010 and 2016 Daniel Decker's concert was held in the Aram Khachatryan Concert Hall, in 2017 he performed in Shoushi as part of the "My Artsakh" project.
